The Opportunity
We're hiring a
Junior Financial Analyst
to join our Finance team and support core accounting functions across multiple entities. You'll be responsible for managing subcontractor and vendor payments, handling accounts receivable, and supporting monthly and annual close processes. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys diving into financial details, collaborating with project teams, and wants to build their career in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
Process subcontractor and major goods/equipment supplier invoices, ensuring proper coding and alignment with project budgets
Manage accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate recording of incoming payments
Track payment timelines and follow up with project teams to resolve issues or delays
Coordinate payment runs to ensure timely, accurate payments in line with policies and payment terms
Prepare and file accurate HST returns in accordance with regulatory deadlines
Act as the main contact for subcontractors and project managers regarding payment status and inquiries
Support full-cycle accounting duties across multiple small entities, including ledger management and financial reporting
Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and revenue recognition
Collect and analyze financial and operational data to support performance tracking and compliance reporting
What You'll Bring
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
Progress toward a CPA designation (or a desire to pursue one) is an asset
Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Clear, professional communication and a collaborative mindset
A proactive and accountable approach to financial work
