Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in financial analysis, data visualization, and business intelligence within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong research and analysis skills, proficiency in various financial software and databases, and bilingual communication abilities. You will play a key role in supporting financial planning, reporting, and decision-making processes across the organization.

Responsibilities



Assist in preparing financial reports, forecasts, and budgets using advanced Excel functions and accounting software. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement. Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Data visualization platforms to present insights clearly. Support the integration and management of ERP systems including SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Hyperion, and other accounting software. Conduct research on industry trends, investment opportunities, and market conditions to inform strategic decisions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data from databases such as SQL, Oracle, Microsoft Access, and other sources for comprehensive analysis. Assist with auditing processes and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing existing workflows and recommending efficiencies. Prepare presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and Word to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders. Maintain accurate documentation of financial models, analysis procedures, and project updates.

Experience



Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Prior internship or experience in financial services or investment banking is preferred but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential; experience with VBA is a plus. Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite; accounting software; SQL databases; Hyperion; Business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau; and data visualization techniques is highly desirable. Knowledge of accounting principles, auditing practices, budgeting processes, and investment analysis is beneficial. Strong research capabilities coupled with excellent analysis skills are required to interpret complex data sets accurately. Bilingual abilities in French or other languages are considered an asset. Effective communication skills are necessary for presenting insights clearly to diverse audiences.
