Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed, accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment. Read and interpret construction drawings, architectural specifications (Division 9), and scope of work documents for commercial projects and tenders. Create customized, detailed proposals and present them to clients on-site or shortly thereafter. Utilize estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore) and Excel to produce bids. Prepare detailed job start packages and communicating scope clearly to project managers and crews. Assist in evaluating pricing from suppliers and ordering necessary samples or special equipment. Coordinate change notices, site instructions and progress updates throughout the lifespan of the project. Monitor extra SOW, labour hours and budgets to ensure project goals are maintained.

Qualifications & Skills

2+ years of experience in construction estimating. Strong problem solving skills and an ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Pro-active, highly organized, strong time management and pays a great attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Experience with estimating software (Bluebeam, Procore) is highly preferred. Excellent verbal and written presentation skills. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and accountable for hitting sales numbers.

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
