Record, test, qualify, and reimplement prototyped high-frequency circuitry (DC-DC converter and pulse generator) intended to be used in a high-performance airborne transmitter application
Create high-quality documentation including circuit diagrams, circuit descriptions, PCB layouts, BOMs, experiment and test reports, operations manuals, and safety highlights
Support existing transmitter designs, providing ongoing design development and maintenance for existing company hardware as well as input on new projects
Participate and collaborate with other engineers across multidisciplinary integration and design decisions for practical implementation of designs
Contribute to other electronic engineering related projects as possible and available
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics, or related
Demonstrated experience in a related discipline of electronics engineering
Embedded microprocessor programming experience (JTAG, etc.)
Understanding of common microbus protocols (I2C, RS485, CAN, etc.)
Effective written and verbal communication in English
Asset Qualifications
Experience with KiCad
Experience with fast-response LC tank circuits
Experience working with low-power circuitry, especially:
o Microcontrollers, especially STM Microcontrollers and lesser PIC Microcontrollers
o Ultra-stable clock generators
o Analog circuitry
o Class-D amplification circuitry
o Audio-frequency ADC circuitry
o Radio-frequency ADC circuitry
Experience documenting work for a SR&ED program
Experience with aviation industry especially avionics
Laboratory experience with high-power circuit experimentation, qualification, and documentation
Ability to travel, to field-test equipment and support prototypes in field
