We are looking for a

Junior

Electrical Designer/Engineer-in-Training (EIT)

to work on a full-time basis to take multiple projects from the conceptual stage to the detailed design stage.

Job Summary

The

Junior

Electrical Designer/EIT

will report to the Engineering Manager and work collaboratively with other electrical designers and engineers. The ideal candidate must have a good understanding of technical design and project management skills. The individual should also be a self-starter with good decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical engineering feasibility studies for building lighting/power/fire alarm systems under a senior engineer's supervision Prepare project documentation, including drawings, specifications, schedules, and estimates Prepare system layouts, details, single-line diagrams, riser diagrams, and building schedules Perform load, lighting, voltage drop, and fault calculations Conduct site surveys and inspections Complete ad-hoc tasks assigned by direct supervisor/manager

About you

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred 1-3 years of experience in lighting, power, fire alarm, communication, security, A/V, and PA system design Knowledge of the OESC, OBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, CSA, ULC, NEMA, TIA/EIA, IEEE, etc. Proficient with AutoCAD, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, etc. Experience in project management and coordination Exceptional communication and organization skills Experience in instrumentation, controls, and commissioning is an asset Comfortable working individually and in a team Detail-oriented and good work ethic EIT or P. Eng. registration in ON is preferred
