We are currently seeking a Junior Electrical Designer/Engineer (all levels of experience. Salary dependent on experience level) who is ambitious, highly motivated to accelerate their career, curious learner, personable and a team player.

e2 Engineering Inc. is an electrical engineering consulting firm located in the heart of Victoria and a secondary office in Nanaimo serving clients with integrity, excellence, and initiative. We provide electrical design services for new and existing residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings throughout Vancouver Island.

Job Type - Full-time, Permanent,

local candidates only, applicants who reside outside Vancouver Island will not be considered



Benefits - Employees are eligible for enrollment in our company benefits package following successful completion of a three-month probationary period.

Schedule - Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities



Understand project specific scope of work and prepare electrical drawings indicating power, lighting, communication, security, and fire alarm systems for construction/renovation of new and existing buildings. Work with and coordinate electrical drawings with architectural, mechanical, interior designer, civil and structural drawings. Continuously educate oneself with the latest codes, standards, and evolving technology. Attend consultant coordination meetings and update electrical design drawings. Attend construction meetings and provide site instructions to electrical contractor, issue change notices and issue field review reports. Maintain a high quality of work, delivered on time, while meeting or exceeding client's expectations. Other tasks assigned by PM based on individual project requirements. Maintain a high quality of work, delivered on time, while meeting or exceeding PM expectation. Discuss and propose solutions for drafting issues. Develop AutoCAD and Revit standards

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements



Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related work experience. Great communication abilities. Highly motivated and driven Detail oriented with the ability to read construction drawings (architectural, mechanical, electrical, and interior design). Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documentation. Ability to quickly absorb and use company-specific standards and procedures Experience in the electrical-construction industry an asset. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in electrical projects associated with buildings.
