Job Description




Scope/ Overview of Position:

SDR hosts a clientele base in excess of 100 customers with over 1000 vendors. Our footprint is in excess of 2 million square feet throughout North America


Reporting to the Manager of Systems Architecture and working closely with other members of the SDR Information Technology Team, the Developers primary responsibilities is to learn the SDR codebase, work on bug fixes, and support Senior Developers with projects, client implementations and internal enhancements.


Hours/Shifts:

Regular business hours. Schedules are subject to change to meet organizational needs based on shift rotation. Responsibilities will sometimes require working evenings and weekends. May carry a company issued cellphone for critical outages and timely response to requests.


Primary Functions:

  • Support current client integrations, develop new client integrations.
  • Participate in design & development initiatives for both internal and external clients.
  • Middle tier application management and maintenance, integration with existing and new platforms.
  • Create Use Case Scenarios based on requirements.



Primary Responsibilities:
  • Experience with object-oriented programming.
  • Keen abilities with unit testing.
  • Familiarity of the Software Development life cycle.
  • Understanding of design patterns and Domain Driven Design
  • Experience with Source Control Systems, such as Bit Bucket.
  • Ability to create complex database queries.



Project Management and Client Communications
  • Strong Customer Service focus.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with clients of differing technical skill levels.
  • Well-developed time management skills.
  • Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to deliver quality documentation with strong attention to detail.
  • Manage incidents, problems and service requests throughout the entire support lifecycle. Including documenting, tracking and monitoring.
  • Ensure milestones are communicated throughout the duration of projects.
  • Work together with the Application and Infrastructure teams providing an effective single point of contact for all development activities.



Qualifications:



Education/Experience
  • Degree or diploma in computer programming related curriculum or equivalent experience.
  • Net developer with strong experience in MVC Framework, C#, API, ASP.NET, razor and JavaScript technologies.
  • JSON, REST
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking and related network services
  • Experience working with and supporting remote clients and partners.


Specialized Knowledge
  • Sound understanding of general business conditions in a warehousing or logistics environment
  • Ability to interact and effectively communicate technology concepts amongst peers.
  • Experience in IT field (warehousing environment highly desirable); WMS; Manhattan Scale experience a definite asset but not required.
  • Relational database experience \xe2\x80\x93 SQL (including stored procedures, SSRS and SSIS).
  • Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.
