Junior Designers are an important part of the successful JLL Workplace Design Advisory team. On this team, you will work alongside real estate professionals, strategists, analysts, and award-winning design professionals. You will gain valuable insight into the interior design and commercial real estate industry while being exposed to multiple lines of business.



This role provides hands-on experience in the field, allowing designers to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world projects while developing their skills and professional network. You will gain experience in a variety of sectors, including workplace, commercial, education, healthcare and more! The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in interior design, be proficient in Revit and Enscape, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.



The Workplace Design team is in office 4 days/week and there is flexibility to work one day remotely.



AS A JUNIOR DESIGNER AT JLL, YOU WILL:



Participates in team meetings with highly collaborative professionals

Supports team in design concepts by preparing presentations and renderings as needed

Schedules vendors for material presentations as appropriate

Assist team members in developing test-fits and space plans

Assist and support color and material specification needs

Maintain and organize the Materials Library & support CEU initiatives



WHAT YOU BRING:



Bachelor's in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited program

1-3 years of experience in workplace, healthcare, post-secondary, and/or hospitality interior design projects.

ARIDO Intern member in good standing, pursuant of NCIDQ certification

Strong portfolio showing a range of skills

An interest and understanding of various space planning methodologies

Good knowledge of furnishings and equipment

Strong sketching and rendering skills

Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD required

Enscape for Revit strongly preferred, or willing to learn quickly

SketchUp strongly preferred, or willing to learn quickly

Ability to develop strong relationships at all levels

Strong written and verbal communications skills

Ability to excel under pressure

Must have a critical eye for details

Strong follow-up and follow through
