Job Description

The position of Junior Drafter involves the development, revising, reviewing, preparation and combining of project related drawings based upon industry regulations and client provided specifications.

This position requires strong time management, detail oriented and interpersonal skills. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with constant deadlines. You will be required to successfully collaborate with Project Managers, Electrical Foremen, QAQC and Document Control in your day to day tasks. Having a positive team player attitude and a flexible, adaptive approach is crucial to this position.

Responsibilities:

Revise drawings, accordingly, based on markups/redlines provided. Develop electrical drawings using AutoCAD. Markup drawings for revision using Bluebeam software. Review equipment specifications/information and check against electrical drawings and properly scale to size. Electrical drawing revisions from approval to fabrication to as built. Collaborate with project managers/electricians for instruction and feedback. Collaborate with QAQC, Document Control, Project Managers and Project Foremen in the production of project specific turnover packages by helping to create, edit and combine documents. Single line diagrams Cable schedules Lighting panel layout Distribution panel layout Grounding layout PLC schematics VFD schematics

Education / Certification Requirements:

Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma, Engineering Design and Drafting Technology Diploma or a related equivalent

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
