We are seeking a motivated and detail orientated Junior Curriculum Developer to join our team and support our mission of providing enriched early childhood education through our award-winning CEFA Early Learning program. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the creation, enhancement and implementation of CEFA's early learning curriculum. This role plays a key part in developing engaging, age appropriate and educationally sound content that reflects CEFA's philosophy and standards of excellence.
Working closely with the Manager of Curriculum Development, the Junior Curriculum Developer contributes to pilots, lesson and activity creation and the refinement of training and curriculum materials for teachers across CEFA schools.
Key Responsibilities:
Candidate must demonstrate excellence in the following areas:
Curriculum Development and Design
Support in the development and refinement of CEFA curriculum programs and materials.
Write, edit and adapt curriculum content for clarity, consistency and alignment with CEFA learning outcomes.
Develop lesson plans, activities, assessments and teacher guides that are engaging and age appropriate.
Create visuals, videos and interactive resources to enhance curriculum delivery.
Assist in the development of curriculum manuals, guides, policies and handouts.
Review and support lesson and activity creations to ensure they meet CEFA's curriculum standards, educational objectives and quality expectations.
Ensure all materials align with CEFA's educational philosophy and developmental objectives.
Pilots and Program Support
Assist in the planning, coordination and evaluation of curriculum pilots.
Work closely with pilot partners and participating schools to ensure effective use of materials and successful program outcomes.
Assist in gathering and analyzing feedback from schools to support curriculum improvement and implementation.
Collaborate with teachers and educational leaders to ensure pilot success and alignment with classroom needs.
Quality and Innovation
Contribute creative ideas for new programs, lessons and learning experiences.
Review curriculum content to ensure consistency, accuracy and educational value.
Maintain organized records of curriculum projects, updates and revisions
Support the development of new curriculum programs and enhancements.
Qualifications and Skills:
Diploma or degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Curriculum Design, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design or classroom teaching (ECE experience an asset).
Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail and consistency.
Creative mindset with the ability to design engaging, age-appropriate materials.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with design tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe, or similar).
Strong research skills and ability to translate findings into practical classroom applications.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Collaborative and proactive approach to teamwork.

Salary and Benefits:
Schedule - M-F - full time - 40 hours per week - may be required to work some evenings and weekends dependent on role. Semi-hybrid role.
