We are currently seeking a

Junior Control Technician

to join the Maintenance team in our

Richmond Hill

location for the

Day Shift

. The Junior Control Technician will be responsible to inspect, repair, replace, install, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

PLC and HMI hardware and software troubleshooting (programming skills are a plus). VFDs programming and troubleshooting. Network management and troubleshooting. Electrical Troubleshooting. Electrical Control Panel design and construction and repair. Electrical and mechanical drawings interpretation. Mechanical and Electrical tools (for electrical panels installation, welding is a plus). Overhaul and install new equipment. Generate and complete work orders as assigned. Assist in maintenance related tasks when required. Demonstrate strong safety awareness by wearing personal protective equipment at all times, performing duties in a safe manner and continually maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Requirements:

1 year of experience in control and automation. Electrical engineering diploma, Instrumentation and Control certification or equivalent. Ability to use hand and power tools. Prior diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience preferred. Strong communication skills both verbally and written. Strong computer skills are an asset. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. A motivated team player with a "can-do" attitude that is able to troubleshoot, focus and organize work area. Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively while maintaining high attention to detail and quality. Quick learner with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work overtime as needed.
