The Junior Compositing Artist supports the visual integration of 2D and 3D elements into final shots. Working under the guidance of more experienced artists and leads, they contribute to production while developing both technical and artistic skills in a fast-paced studio environment.

Responsibilities:



Assemble renders, matte paintings, and FX elements in Nuke based on provided guidelines. Follow creative and technical instructions from Leads and Supervisors. Keep Nuke scripts clean, organized, and optimized. Ensure work meets technical specifications and pipeline standards. Implement feedback efficiently and with attention to detail. Track shot progress accurately using production tools.

Collaboration



Communicate effectively with team members and other departments. Ask questions and seek clarification when needed to ensure quality and consistency.

Qualifications



Basic knowledge of Nuke or other node-based compositing software Understanding of core compositing principles and basic awareness of the 3D pipeline Motivation to learn and grow in a production environment Strong attention to detail and a good eye for image quality Team-oriented mindset and openness to feedback English communication skills (spoken and written)

Nice-to-Have (Optional) Skills:



Familiarity with scripting (TCL, Python) Experience with ShotGrid or similar production tracking tools Basic understanding of color theory, lighting, and photography principles

Additional Information



The person in this role will work closely with our Paris studio in a bilingual environment, as well as with international partners, talent, and clients. They will regularly interact with non-French-speaking stakeholders across various productions and strategic communications, in order to present and promote the creative and technical strengths of Mikros Animation on a global scale.
