Job Description

The successful candidate will be a Junior Claims Adjuster and will be working on-site work setup in Edmonton, Alberta. They will be actively involved in evaluating loss claims with a focus on Inland Marine insurance through loss investigation and be responsible for negotiating settlements following provincial licensing requirements, while maintaining adequate production levels and customer relationships.

Reviews and analyzes experts' reports Work with the senior members for manuscript wording analysis and preparation as needed Interact with senior management on referral items Detailed recording of file activities and transactions in both Crawford and Company and client-based systems Maintains accurate expense accounts Work with the manager to maintain client relations Ability to liaise and work with all facets of the insurance community, including brokers, risk managers, legal counsel, and regulators Minimum of 2 years of insurance experience in Contractor's Equipment, Cargo Liability, Rigger's (lift) Liability Motivated and eager to learn business while working with a senior adjuster Knowledge of Heavy Equipment is an asset but not required Insurance policy interpretation and experience in making recommendations to the market Has an active level 1 Alberta adjusting license/ or is working towards one Organized and strong communication/writing skills Focused on expanding knowledge base and building on career growth in the industry Must be a team player with outstanding customer service skills Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with opportunity for career growth
