Your application should cover the following:



Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Design Technology, Civil Design and Drafting Technology, and/or Geomatics Engineering Technology. Soon to be graduates are also encouraged to apply. Working knowledge of Civil 3D/AutoCAD/Excel Working knowledge of roadway, site grading and utility servicing design The ability to work as part of a team and meet deadlines.

Bonus points for:



Topographic and survey layout experience Use of technology and innovation tools in your work Experience in large and small-scale projects

You have experience building strong working relationships with a wide range of partners involved in transportation and municipal infrastructure projects, and you're excited to be part of a multidisciplinary organization. You're naturally proactive--able to anticipate challenges and identify risks before they arise. At this stage in your career, you're eager to grow with a collaborative team and are motivated by technical excellence.

Reporting to the Technical Lead, your primary responsibilities would include:

Preparing and drafting engineering drawings in AutoCAD or Civil3D; Preparing report figures or presentation figures in AutoCAD or Civil3D; Providing design support for transportation or civil engineering projects; Completing quantity take-offs and other related support for tender preparation; Providing field support including processing and preparing survey / point data and base mapping; Being an avid learner, participating in knowledge-sharing and mentoring with fellow staff, and staying current on industry trends and emerging technologies; Practicing and maintaining good quality control and documentation standards on all projects, including self-checking of your own deliverables and engaging with other team members for review of your work; Contributing to continuous improvement of our drafting standards and applying those standards; Interacting and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, contractors, and our clients' representatives, and providing excellent service and timely responses when needed; and Registering as a Technologist in Training with ASET, and then making timely progress toward your registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET), with ISL's support.
