Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials. The ideal candidate will have experience in various carpentry techniques and possess a strong attention to detail.

Duties:

- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, and other materials

- Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes

- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, cabinets, and countertops

- Follow blueprints and building plans to meet project specifications

- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures

- Select appropriate tools and materials for each project

- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project completion

- Perform general maintenance tasks as needed

Experience:

To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role

- Proficient in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, planes, levels, and measuring tapes

- Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to perform basic electrical work

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks

- Familiarity with masonry work including bricklaying and concrete forming

- Experience with construction painting and restoration work

- Strong knowledge of roofing systems and installation techniques

- Basic plumbing skills for installation of fixtures such as sinks and toilets

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:

carpentry: 5 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
