Vistech Design and Construction is seeking

Junior Telecommunications CAD Technicians

to join our design department. In this role, you will be responsible for creating

Municipal Consent drawings

using AutoCAD for various municipalities, as well as preparing

High-Level Designs (HLDs)

and

Issued for Construction (IFC) packages

for multiple ISPs.

This position requires

on-site collaboration

. Candidates must be able to report to our

Woodbridge office

to work closely with designers, managers, and clients, ensuring timely and accurate completion of project cycles.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare

Municipal Consent permit drawings

using AutoCAD for underground telecom projects. Create

third-party aerial permit drawings

using AutoCAD for telecom infrastructure. Use of

ArcGIS

and alternate GIS Software. Develop

High-Level Designs (HLDs)

based on customer specifications. Assemble

Issued for Construction (IFC) packages

for project execution. Complete and submit

utility permit applications

to relevant authorities. Track and manage multiple permits across various municipalities. Produce specialty permit drawings for

railway crossings, pipeline crossings, MTO encroachments, and creek crossings

. Perform

quality checks

on permit plans to ensure compliance with municipal and customer standards. Review and resolve

utility clearance conflicts

. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma or degree in

Architectural Drafting

,

Civil Engineering

, or

Electrical Engineering

(preferred).

Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2D

, including efficient use of

Paper Space / Model Space

and ability to produce accurate, detailed drawings. Strong

communication

,

interpersonal

, and

problem-solving

skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in

Microsoft Office Suite

. Exceptional user of

Excel

. Ability to adapt to different

permit drawing standards

and styles. Experience in

tracking and scheduling multiple projects

, with flexibility to adjust timelines as needed. Collaborative

team player

with a proactive approach. Fluent in

English

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
