It will require good judgement, confidentiality, and adherence to departmental and company policies and procedures. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Major Duties and Responsibilities: \xc2\xa7 Daily monitoring of the Omcan group of companies\xe2\x80\x99 bank accounts \xc2\xa7 Responsible for the administration of accounting systems SAP Business 1 and Sage \xc2\xa7 Reconcile suppliers and vendors accounts in SAP Business 1 \xc2\xa7 Ensure monthly reconciliation, financial statements are completed accurately and on time \xc2\xa7 Complete full accounting cycle monthly and at year end in SAP Business 1 and Sage \xc2\xa7 Prepare and process full-cycle payroll accurately and on time on a bi-weekly basis \xc2\xa7 Ensure appropriate deductions for biweekly payroll \xc2\xa7 Process monthly payment of government remittances and group benefits \xc2\xa7 Update employee records information relating to payroll, processing new hires, terminations, compensation changes \xc2\xa7 Process ROEs as required
  • Complete year-end processing, including T4\'s, RL-1 & T2200
  • Process benefit transactions for enrollment, status changes, life events and terminations
  • Respond to employee inquiries
\xc2\xa7 Other duties as assigned Minor Duties and Responsibilities: \xc2\xa7 Provide support for accounts payable and receivable positions \xc2\xa7 Provide support for the completion of bank and payment letters for vendors, updating in SAP \xc2\xa7 Adjust inventory tracking for all Omcan credit notes issues Minimum Qualifications and Skills: \xc2\xa7 Completion of post-secondary program with a focus on accounting, bookkeeping or related field \xc2\xa7 High degree of numerical competency \xc2\xa7 Ability to create, read and analyze detailed numerical reports \xc2\xa7 Highly attentive to detail with strong clerical and organizational skill \xc2\xa7 Communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of an organization \xc2\xa7 Must possess advanced knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel , SAP Business 1, Sage and Payworks OMCAN appreciates all applicants for their interest, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
