JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a

Junior Automatic Door Technician

to support the installation and repair of automatic, sliding, and manual doors in commercial, industrial, and institutional settings. As a valued member of our service team, you will help deliver high-quality service to clients throughout Prince Edward Island. Responsibilities include new installations, preventative maintenance, general service, and emergency repairs.

JOB DUTIES:

Assist with the installation, servicing, and repair of automatic door operators, swing and sliding doors, and related hardware Install manual door closers, sweeps, and other door hardware Conduct site visits to gather information needed for quotes Educate clients on proper door use and maintenance to extend product lifespan Test equipment and perform safety checks before leaving job sites Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment Keep accurate work records and maintain adequate parts inventory in the service vehicle Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive client relationships Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Mechanical aptitude with previous construction or maintenance experience Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive, solution-focused mindset Ability to read basic blueprints, wiring schematics, and installation specifications Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with team members and other trades Valid driver's license and clean driving record Physically capable of meeting the demands of the job (lifting, kneeling, standing for long periods) Strong oral and written communication skills Able to complete all required paperwork accurately and on time

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 - 40 per week
