Apex Aluminum is a state-of-the-art aluminum extrusion factory located in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. With a 170,000 square foot aluminum extrusion facility and some of the most modern equipment in its industry, Apex can offer custom extrusions, mill finish aluminum and anodized aluminum to satisfy the most demanding customer and all architectural needs. We are seeking an attentive and motivated Junior AutoCAD Drafter. Working closely with Estimators, Customer Service and Die Manager, you will be responsible for various tasks which include but are not limited to providing drafting and production control support for Apex. This position will report to the Senior AutoCAD Drafter. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare packaging and fabrication drawings. Facilitate packaging meetings to implement improvements.
• Manage communication in Packaging Drawings Teams Chat.
• Read and interpret architectural drawings to design complex approval die drawings.
• Accurately create and update die information in ERP system.
• Work with suppliers and die department to order dies.
• Incorporate drawing corrections from internal and external customers with minimal supervision.
• Work with sales and quotations team to ensure all quotation drawings are prepared on time.
• Maintain files and records of all drawings in our system.

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

• AutoCAD certification.
• Outstanding AutoCAD knowledge required.
• Bachelor\'s degree (preferred).
• Must be proficient in MS Windows, MS Office & other general computer skills.
• ERP Software experience.
• 2+ years experience drafting Aluminum Curtainwall, Storefront, and exterior panels systems
• Experience in Aluminum extrusion, glass or construction industry would be an asset.
