Junior Hockey Assistant Coach (Intern) - Caledon Golden Hawks (PJHL)
The Caledon Golden Hawks are seeking a motivated
Junior Assistant Coach (Intern)
to join our staff for the upcoming PJHL season. This role is designed for individuals who aspire to coach at the Junior level and want hands-on experience in all aspects of team operations. You'll work directly with the Head Coach, Assistant Coaches, and General Manager to gain valuable exposure to player development, game preparation, and day-to-day hockey operations.
This is an entry-level coaching role with real responsibilities -- perfect for someone who wants to build their resume and prepare for future coaching opportunities in Junior, AAA, or higher levels of hockey.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the coaching staff with
practice planning, setup, and execution
.
Support the team in
video review, statistics tracking, and opponent scouting reports
.
Be actively involved in
game-day operations
, including warmups, bench support, and post-game breakdown.
Provide individual feedback to players under the direction of senior coaches.
Help with
player communication and team logistics
to ensure smooth operations.
Participate in coaches' meetings, learning firsthand how decisions are made at the Junior level.
Development & Perks

Travel with the team for home and away games (travel costs covered).

Ideal Candidate
Aspiring hockey coach seeking experience at the Junior level.
Strong work ethic, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
Background in hockey (playing or coaching) at the U18, AAA, Junior, or collegiate level is an asset but not required.
Professional, team-first attitude and strong communication skills.
Must be available for practices, games, and occasional team events.
Commitment & Compensation
This is an
internship role
designed for development.
Travel for away games is fully covered.

Pay: $1.00-$100.00 per month
