Job Description

SUMMARY:



The Junior Accounts Associate will provide accounting support to the Controller and Accountant, assisting with financial analysis, reconciliations, reporting, and GL reconciliations as needed. This role will focus on full-cycle accounting while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Providing support and assistance to the Controller, and CFO on various projects as needed.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (included but not limited to)



Full-Cycle Accounting responsibilities Accounts Payable (AP) Management, processing vendor invoices, payments, manage purchase orders, and vender relations. Reconciliation of GL accounts Accounts Receivable (AR) Management, including issuing invoices and tracking payments, following up on any outstanding accounts. Assist in preparing financial budgets and projections, analyzing variances and providing financial insights Prepare documents for internal and external audits Ensure financial records align with industry standards and regulations Review and validate all deductions claimed by Big Box retailers to ensure accuracy and legitimacy Analyze sales events across Big Box retailers and marketing events. Providing analysis on production reports and inventory reports Verify and validate

customer deductions

for accuracy. Provide

cost and inventory analysis

to support business decisions. Assist with

(GL) reconciliations

and

financial reporting

. Maintain accurate

financial records

in accounting systems, investigating and resolving discrepancies Assist in

preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings

. Process

income statements, balance sheets, and other financial documents

. Ensure

compliance with provincial and federal regulations

. Maintain and update

fixed asset records

. Provide

administrative support

as required while maintaining confidentiality. Foundational experience in Data Analytics and Data Science, with a strong interest in developing advanced analytical skills. Understanding of data modeling principles and the ability to assist in building and maintaining simple data models to support business needs. Comfortable working with datasets and ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis. Ability to learn quickly and communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS



BA in Accounting

; or equivalent, CPA designation preferred.

Minimum 2 years of accounting experience

(JR. Accountant or Accounts Clerk ).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and basic data visualization tools

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, word processing, email applications and contact management software.

and organizational skills. Ability to

prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
