Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their accounting skills in a dynamic environment. The Junior Accountant will assist in various accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and be proficient in accounting software.

Duties

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records. Support corporate finance activities, including budgeting and account analysis. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, PeopleSoft, Sage, or similar tools for bookkeeping tasks. Participate in auditing processes by preparing necessary documentation and reports. Help with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review. Maintain organized financial records and assist with data entry as needed.

Experience

A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not required for candidates with relevant experience. Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, PeopleSoft, or Sage is highly desirable. Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and principles is essential. Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or corporate finance is a plus. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate account analysis and budgeting tasks. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within deadlines. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
