About the position

Haywood is currently looking to recruit a Junior Accountant to join the Vancouver office. To be successful in this role, the incumbent must be able to demonstrate their commitment to providing exceptional customer/client service, attention to detail and a willingness to take on new responsibilities and challenges as they arise.

Responsibilities include:

Prepare daily bank reconciliations and all banking related journal entries Prepare reconciliations for various other balance sheet accounts on a reoccurring weekly or monthly basis Effectively communicate with other team members across various departments within the firm to obtain necessary transaction approvals Utilize problem solving skills to work through discrepancies that arise and implement appropriate solutions Reconcile and maintain fixed asset and prepaid continuity schedules

Requirements:

Education and Qualifications

Experience working in the banking and/or brokerage industry Experience using Dataphile and Execlear Proficient in excel and other Microsoft Office products Working towards completion of your CPA designation

Key Skills and Attributes

Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines, with a high attention to detail
