We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This role will primarily support daily cash operations, accounts payable processing, capital expenditure tracking, and general accounting tasks. The ideal candidate is accurate, organized, eager to learn, and ready to grow with a dynamic manufacturing company.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
Process vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare payment runs (checks, EFTs, wire).
Maintain vendor records and assist in onboarding new vendors.
Monitor prepaid and recurring expenses for proper accrual and amortization.
Cash Management
Perform daily cash reconciliations across bank accounts.
Monitor cash inflows/outflows and provide a daily cash position report.
Assist in forecasting short-term cash needs and managing inter-account transfers.
Reconcile cash-related GL accounts and investigate variances.
Capital Expenditure Accounting
Track capital projects and ensure accurate classification between Capex and Opex.
Maintain fixed asset subledger and ensure timely capitalization of assets.
Support monthly depreciation entries and fixed asset rollforwards.
Assist in the development of Capex reports for budget tracking and analysis.
Month-End Close Support
Assist with AP accruals, journal entries, and Cash and Credit Cards account reconciliations.
Help maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts related to Cash, AP (including Credit Cards) and fixed assets.
Support documentation and audit requests related to AP and Capex.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with operations, procurement, and finance to ensure accurate tracking of spending and commitments.
Support the AR and inventory team when needed on specific reconciliations or projects.
Compliance and Documentation
Ensure proper documentation and adherence to internal controls related to AP and Capex processes.
Help prepare support for audits, tax filings, and internal reviews.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or pursuing).
1-2 years of accounting or AP experience (internships count).
