Job Description
TITUS is currently seeking a Junior Accountant to join our Finance team on a 14 month contract. The successful candidate is an energetic, results-orientated individual with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Reporting to the Director, Finance your primary responsibilities will include:
- Processing accounts payable invoices, including vouching to purchase orders and coding invoices for payment
- Reconciling credit card statements and verifying accompanying receipts
- Assistance with general accounting tasks as required.
- Adhering to corporate policies, procedures and financial controls
- Filing and other administrative tasks
- 1-3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working in an accounting role
- Knowledge of basic accounting practices
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Simply Accounting (Sage 50) software is considered an asset
