About the role We are looking for a part-time accountant to join our team. You will be responsible for accounts payable and other general accounting and administrative duties across multiple companies. An ideal candidate is someone looking for part time work with flexible hours. The candidate will need to be able to work part of their hours during regular working hours. As this role is fully remote, the candidate will need to be self-motivated and able to multi-task effectively remotely. Reporting to the Owner, the Junior Accountant will provide support by performing detailed tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card transactions, reconciliations, email correspondence with third parties, and general compliance tasks for GST, EHT and WCB. You will get exposure to multiple companies and multiple industries to grow your experience and knowledge. Must Have\xe2\x80\x99s - 3+ years of accounting experience - Experience with inventory and cost accounting procedures - Experience using Quickbooks online - Experience performing banking transactions and reconciliations - Experience assisting in month end procedures - Availability to work at least some of your hours during regular working hours Desired Skills and Experience - Experience using Dext / Asana / Wagepoint - Experience in the equipment rental industry - must be completely fluent in written and oral English - must be able to work independently with minimal supervision - must be proactive and possess a great attitude - must be extremely organized and detail focused - must possess an excellent grasp of Microsoft products, especially Microsoft Excel - Knowledge of basic Accounting principles and practices - Multitasking and time management skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize tasks under pressure Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-25 per week Salary: $25.00-$30.00 per hour Benefits:
