  • Please note, this will be a hybrid role (once a week at the Ottawa office)

Responsibilities
  • Assist with preparing monthly journal entries.
  • Reconciliation of sub-ledger accounts (AP, AR, and banking).
  • Complete payroll and pension submissions on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Process employee travel and expense claims.
  • Fixed-Asset accounting.
  • Prepare monthly and annual working papers.
  • Ensure adherence to PE GAAP
  • Ensure all financial deadlines are met in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Complete accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
Qualifications
  • Must have a Degree or Diploma in Accounting/Finance or Business Administration.
  • Must be enrolled in CPA Designation
  • Must have 2 to 3 years of experience in full-cycle accounting including GAAP, cost, and job (project) accounting.
  • Experience completing payroll is an Asset.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office including Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, and Formulas).
