Job Summary



We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

Junior Accountant

to join our accounting team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop core accounting skills while supporting the financial operations of our projects and business divisions. The Junior Accountant will work closely with senior team members, gaining exposure to property accounting, financial reporting, and day-to-day bookkeeping tasks.

Job Duties and Responsibilities



Assist with processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoices and expense reports. Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records in accounting systems. Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and vendor statements. Prepare and post journal entries under supervision. Assist in maintaining the general ledger and supporting schedules. Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Help prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. Provide documentation and support for audits and compliance reviews. Assist with property tax filings and other financial submissions as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all accounting processes. Use accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel to perform tasks.

Skills & Qualifications



Diploma or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or currently working toward completion). 0-2 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience (internship or co-op experience accepted). Knowledge of basic accounting principles and standards. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Sage or QuickBooks experience an asset). Strong organizational and time-management skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Team player with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
