We are seeking a full-time Junior Accountant to join our finance team in our new office in Abbotsford. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to develop their accounting skills and gain experience performing various accounting tasks. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will be responsible for different aspects of the accounts payable cycle and other administrative duties as assigned.

Your role will be:

- Manage the Accounts Payable inbox.

- Process invoices from sub-trades and suppliers following the company's internal control procedures.

- Perform monthly reconciliations of vendors' statements and ensure timely reporting.

- Handle vendors' inquiries in a professional manner.

- Maintain the company's electronic filing system by properly organizing invoices, statements and other relevant documents.

- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements reconciliations.

- Assist with various accounting tasks as assigned (complete bank deposits, financial reporting, intercompany reconciliations, month and year-end procedures, etc.).

- Provide administrative support to management.

To become a part of our accounting team, you will have:

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

- 1-2 years of experience in a similar accounting role

- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

- Ability to prioritize and multitask

- Working knowledge of Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
