Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and possess a strong skill set in Ju-Jitsu. This role offers an opportunity to inspire and educate students in a supportive environment, helping them develop essential skills while fostering confidence and safety . The Instructor will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and creating a positive learning experience for all participants.

Duties

Plan and deliver ju-jitsu lessons tailored to different skill levels, from beginners to intermediate Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement Ensure all safety guidelines are strictly followed during lessons to maintain a safe environment Demonstrate techniques and safety skills Maintain a clean and organized teaching area, including equipment and supplies Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding lesson plans and progress Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs and learning styles Promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation and confidence-building

Qualifications

Proven experience in teaching or instructing in ju-jitsu Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage students of all ages Passion for teaching and helping others develop new skills Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if needed Certification in CPR/AED (or willingness to obtain upon hire) is a plus A positive attitude, patience, and strong interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role
Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 6 per week
