Job Description


JSGS Graduate Research AssistantThe Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy (JSGS) is recruiting a Graduate Research Assistant to work with and report to Dr. Daniel Dickson, Assistant Professor at JSGS.The typical duties for the Research Assistant will be:

  • conducting literature review on public policy topics;
  • analyzing basic descriptive data (no stats training required);
  • attending regular research meetings; and
  • preparing research notes.
The general location of work will be the Diefenbaker Building where JSGS is located.Required Number of Hours: 10 hours per week
Duration of Employment: January 13 to April 6, 2025 (12 weeks)Qualifications (Skills and Abilities)Minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a public policy-relevant social science discipline (i.e., political science, sociology, social work, disability studies, etc.).Preference will be given to applicants currently registered in a graduate program at the University of Saskatchewan.
