Elk Island Public Schools is recruiting a Jr/Sr Teacher at Vegreville Composite High.
The job will have an FTE between 0.714-1.0 that will be decided upon in consultation with the successful candidate.
The job is a mix of Physical Education and Jr./Sr. High option classes. Some of the options could include Art, Wildlife, Personal Fitness and Leadership. Administration is open to working with the successful candidate if there are other teachable subject areas that could be utilized.

Vegreville Composite High serves approximately 370 students in grades 7 to 12, with 20 teaching staff and eight support staff. The school is located in Vegreville, AB, approximately 90 kilometres east of Sherwood Park, AB.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Education degree Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate Effective organization and classroom management skills Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged Excellent verbal and written skills Experience or familiarity analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction Strong collaboration and teamwork skills Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training
