The Junior Software Engineer Role

As a pivotal member of our dedicated engineering team, you\'ll contribute to driving Qlik\'s AI vision strategy, ensuring the responsible and ethical implementation of AI for organizations.

Collaborative Innovation: Collaborate with a diverse group of talented individuals, including data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts, to design and develop user-friendly AI solutions.

Future AI Direction: Extend your impact to shaping the future direction organizations take with AI, addressing complex challenges, and pioneering next-generation technologies in the AI/ML space.

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a teammate with:

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 3+ years of experience building production-quality software and working with large-scale data and distributed computing environments, including end-to-end ML Pipelines.
• A passion for staying current with the latest tech and trends in the Software space.
• Strength in programming languages such as Python, Golang, Java, C++, as well as containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• We would love to see some front tend tech in Node.js, Go, javascript etc.
• Familiarity with cloud service providers and related infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Skill in SQL programming and SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, ElasticSearch).
• Experience with foundational models like Llama, Falcon, OpenAI, Hugging Face, Mistral.
• Experience with NLP, DL, Neural network architectures, and unstructured data sources (RAG, vector databases, knowledge graphs, grounding, prompt engineering, chain-of-thought, pre-training, fine-tuning) is a real plus.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $110,000 CAD \xe2\x80\x93 $132,000 CAD per year. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate\xe2\x80\x99s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
