Join Our Team as an Jr. PLC Specialist at Johnson Electric!
Location: Stratford, ON, Canada (onsite)

Schedule: Day shift
As our next Jr. PLC Specialist, you'll design and implement control systems for new machinery, troubleshoot and modify existing systems, and lead automation projects. Your expertise in PLC programming, robotics, and electrical systems will be key to driving innovation and maintaining operational excellence.

What You'll Be Doing:Design, develop, and implement control systems Program PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, ControlLogix), HMIs, servo systems, and robotics Coordinate machine startups and process launches Design control panels, wiring diagrams, and BOMs Utilize Wonderware software and other automation tools Train maintenance personnel on automation systems Mentor licensed electricians in PLC programming and troubleshooting Support automation cell improvements and continuous improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality systems Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:University degree in Electrical Engineering or College diploma 5+ years of experience in controls and data acquisition in automotive manufacturing Ability to lead projects and work within multidisciplinary teams Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and related software Effective communication skills across all organizational levels High integrity, dependability, and results-driven mindset

Working Conditions:Combination of office and manufacturing environments Exposure to noise, heights, confined spaces, and metalworking fluids Physical demands include climbing, crouching, lifting, and operating material handling equipment
