Position and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for day-to-day analysis of laboratory samples by wet chemistry and instrumentation methods. You will participate in quality assurance and quality control activities within the lab operation and assist with corrective and preventative action planning and implementation. You will perform maintenance of analytical equipment in the lab, mill and mine, and provide coverage to the McArthur River satellite lab as needed.

We are looking to fill four temporary positions, with a term end date of approximately December 31, 2023.

Education and Qualifications

Requirements of the position:

  • Chemical technology diploma
  • Up to three years of relevant work experience
  • Working knowledge of chemical laboratory principles and procedures
  • Effective organizational and analytical skills
  • Solid team player with a willingness to learn
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision
  • Positive attitude, diligent, and committed to safe work practices
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 40 lbs
  • Willing to work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Assets:
  • Experience with an x-ray fluorescence spectrometer
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite and SAP

Safety Sensitive Site

The Key Lake operation is located in northern Saskatchewan and operates on a two week on/two week off rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.
