Blumara Corp. is a Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Services company based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We provide a range of design, engineering, and project management services for the Naval and Commercial Marine sectors. Blumara has been involved in a number of vessel design and build projects ranging from small commercial boats to large warships and beyond.

Blumara is seeking a Junior Engineer to join our growing team in Halifax, supporting the design, sustainment, and modernization of Canada's fleet of naval and commercial vessels.

You'll work alongside experienced naval architects, marine, and systems engineers in a collaborative environment that blends technical analysis with practical problem-solving. Your work will directly contribute to the safety, reliability, and long-term sustainability of vessels operating in some of the most challenging marine environments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supporting development of maintenance and lifecycle strategies for naval and commercial vessels Conducting engineering and logistics analyses such as Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) Assisting in review of design data, change documentation, and technical drawings Supporting engineering reports, technical manuals, and project deliverables Contributing to system documentation and configuration control Helping monitor obsolescence and equipment supportability issues Supporting client presentations and progress reporting.

Skills and Capabilities:

Undergraduate degree in Engineering (Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or related field). 0 to 4 years of relevant engineering experience Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a small team environment. Experience working with contractors, OEM suppliers, and consultants.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain the relevant Canadian Security Clearances before commencing employment with Blumara Corp.
