Jr. Business Development Representative/farm Gate Customer Success

THE OPPORTUNITY: Stewart Farms, a wellness-focused cannabis company, is on the hunt for a Jr. Business Development Representative to join our team of passionate cannabis pros. As a Jr. Business Development Representative, you will interact with existing, as well as, potential customers, primarily by phone and email. The main goal will be to increase sales and brand awareness of the Company\'s products by creating customer satisfaction and adding value to the customer\'s buying experience. We need someone who is outgoing and self-motivated as this is a high-pressure, fast-paced work environment, so buckle up and hold on tight! We need someone who can think on their feet, pivot quickly, and keep a sense of humor about it all (because we\'re a fun bunch!). This will be a split role that will also have responsibilities servicing customers within our farm gate dispensary store. So, prior retail and merchandising experience would be a huge plus. Responsibilities:

  • Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to current and potential customers, and following up on leads.
  • Understanding customers\' needs and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Servicing customers at Stewart\'s Herbal Dispensary, educating them on our cannabis products and making recommendations to customers.
  • Using our point-of-sale system to ensure customers check out properly.
  • Answering potential customers\' questions and sending additional information via email.
  • Creating and maintaining a database (HubSpot) of current and potential customers.
  • Upselling products and services.
  • Various admin tasks that relate to customer needs, such as sending marketing material to retail stores across Canada, sending follow up emails and scheduling appointments with team members.
  • Identifies ways for continuous improvement of our sales processes.
  • Represent the legal cannabis industry in a positive manner; Be an engaged member of the local cannabis community
  • Maintain all required certifications to work at a cannabis retail location (we can help provide you with this after being hired).
Requirements:
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Previous experience in an outbound call center or a related sales position preferred.
  • Previous experience in cannabis industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software such as Salesforce.comor HubSpot.
  • Prior retail and merchandising experience considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent phone and cold calling skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong listening and sales skills.
  • Ability to achieve targets.
