Currently we are seeking an Entry Level Jr. Accountant / Administrator
Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Accounting Manager this position contributes to the success of the companies by learning and providing overall support to the day-to-day financial operations of the company, which include such tasks, but not limited to:
Performing full accounts payable cycle
May be responsible for light accounts receivable tasks, including invoice tracking, payment follow-ups, and maintaining accurate financial records
Assist in month end tasks
Coordinating the reference binders
Assist in fiscal year end audits
Preparing daily Production Reports
Complete intercompany billing
Complete daily invoicing
Perform daily deposits
Posting journal entries
Maintain records for all capital assets
Weekly and monthly inventory reconciliation
Internal Auditing of Industry Standards Compliance
Filing, scanning, and maintaining an organized environment
Completing daily general reports
Provide back up support to the Accounting Team
Cross Train on the following areas:
Perform daily, monthly bank reconciliations and foreign exchange transactions
Preparation of external filings, such as HST, etc
Inventory processes
Prepare margin reporting
Preparation of accounts receivables, sales analytics, and cash applications
The Requirements:
Post secondary education in accounting or business-related field
Experience in accounting software
Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong attention to detail
Analytical skills
Showing initiative
Ability to meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office computer programs (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
Strong in time management / organizational skills / multi-tasking
Decision making / problem solving skills
Adaptability / positive interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a Team environment
CPA designation is not required
