We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of

Journeyperson Powerline Technician

. This position reports to the Operations Supervisor. The successful candidate will be required to perform weekly standby duty, emergency and planned overtime on a regular basis and, therefore, must reside within a 35 km radius of the Acton Office.

DUTIES:



The duties for this position will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Construction, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the electrical distribution system, including overhead and underground of various voltages (up to and including 44kV);

Perform live line work on overhead and underground electrical distribution lines of up to 44kV;

Weekly standby duty; emergency and planned overtime;

Manage ESA permits and necessary locate requirements;

Service and trouble-shoot electrical related issues; Ensure all work meets ESA and internal requirements; Responsible for completing work / service orders within the allotted time frames; Ensure all installation/service work is done according to quality standards; Report and communicate according to company procedures; Assist with work overflow as needed; Follow all company policies and procedures; Adhere to all company safety policies; report all near-miss and incidents immediately; Complete paperwork as required - job Planning, tailboards, timesheets, traffic planning Performance of all work within health and safety regulations, company standards, industry standards and applicable regulatory codes; Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $28.00-$49.00 per hour
