The Tsuut'ina Nation is seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. This position is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of residential plumbing systems within the Tsuut'ina Nation. This role also includes mentoring apprentices, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and Nation standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, a commitment to quality workmanship, and a passion for supporting the community.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform the repair, maintenance, and installation of plumbing systems in residential homes located within the Tsuut'ina Nation.
Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues promptly and effectively, ensuring all work complies with applicable building codes and safety standards.
Communicate regularly with the Service and Maintenance Manager regarding completed work, ongoing projects, and issues requiring escalation or support.
Mentor and support apprentices by providing technical guidance and fostering a respectful, positive learning environment.
Manage and monitor materials and supplies, including ordering and tracking inventory to ensure cost efficiency and timely project completion.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all work performed, including hours worked, materials used, and project progress.
Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with Tsuut'ina Nation regulations, policies, and professional standards.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Desired Education, Knowledge and Experience:
o Journeyperson Plumbing Certificate is required.
o Red Seal Journeyperson Plumbing Certificate is an asset.
o Knowledge of the Tsuut'ina Nation community and commitment to respecting its culture and values.
o Experience in residential plumbing repair and maintenance.
o Experience in training apprentices is an asset.

o Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in ordering and tracking materials.
o Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o A commitment to meeting project deadlines and quality standards.
General Employment Requirements:
o Valid Driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
o Criminal Record Check.
o Flexible schedule including participation in in on-call rotations.
o Physical ability to perform tasks.
