Job Description

Duties: The Plumber installs, repairs and maintains pipes, fixtures and other plumbing equipment used for water distribution and waste water disposal in commercial and industrial school division buildings and grounds. Ensures buildings are maintained in a safe and efficient, code compliant manner.

Education & Qualifications:

• Valid Journeyperson Certificate in plumbing trade
• Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Journeyperson plumber
• Gas ticket is an asset
• A valid Class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license

Physical Requirements:

• Good physical condition with the ability to do heavy work is required (i.e., exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects)
• The ability to work off lifts, in crawlspaces, attics, roofs, and ladders is required

Wage & Benefits:
In accordance with the current CUPE Local 5512 Collective Bargaining Agreement. Currently, this is a rate of $41.28 per hour.
