Cariboo Pulp is a West Fraser and Mercer International joint venture located in Quesnel, BC. We are currently looking for a motivated:

JOURNEYPERSON INSULATOR (LAGGER)

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Insulator/Lagger will be a key player in a company-wide continuous improvement effort through daily use of troubleshooting and predictive, preventative maintenance strategies.

Key duties include:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to select different types of insulation required
  • Ordering and storage of materials
  • Measure and cut insulation
  • Apply and secure insulation
  • Apply waterproofing, fireproofing, and vapor barriers
  • Minor jobs to remove asbestos and other materials from buildings and piping
  • Minor hazardous materials handling and removal
  • Cladding installation and removal
  • Sheet metal and cladding layout
Our ideal candidate possesses:
  • A valid Inter-Provincial or BC Provincial Journeyperson Heating and Frost Insulator certification
  • Heavy industry experience: pulp experience is an asset
  • Commitment to working safely and creating a safe workplace
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Computer skills are an asset
