We are currently looking to add a Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Technician to our National Service Group (NSG) - Mobile/Project Based.

Reports to: Manager, Project Planning & Scheduling (NSG)

Shift: 14 x 7, 6 x 1, 14 x 14, 12 x 2 depending on project requirements, Days Or Nights

Travel: 100% Travel

Location: Home office located in Edmonton, AB, but work is project-based across Canada (Candidates from Western Canada preferred - British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan)

Relocation: This position does not offer relocation.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, repair, service and inspection of the mining equipment
• Able to diagnose faults and malfunctions
• Adjust, repair or replace all defective equipment parts, components or systems serviced at customer sites
• Test the repaired equipment for proper performance
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Able to travel and work in remote locations (90%)
• Experience using Micrometers to measure tight tolerances
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision but also participate in the work of other mechanics and apprentices within the field environment

Qualifications/Requirements

• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Certification and Red Seal
• 3-5 years of mining or construction related experience
• Previous experience working with P&H products is an asset
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals relating to manufacturer specifications and warranty environments
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints
• Must have a demonstrated ability to efficiently diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues in mechanical systems common to mining and/or construction equipment products
• Sound understanding of the importance of customer relationships
• Ability to travel 100%
• A valid driver\'s licence with no restrictions
