We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems and be proficient in reading blueprints and schematics. This role requires hands-on experience with various electrical tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in both residential and commercial settings. The Journeyperson Electrician will work collaboratively with other tradespeople to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in compliance with local codes and regulations.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various electrical tasks.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or upgrades.
Work on low voltage systems as well as high voltage installations.
Collaborate with construction teams during renovation projects to ensure proper electrical installation.
Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks as needed. Experience not mandatory, but would beneficial.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in a commercial and residential setting.
Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding of schematics.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
Familiarity with low voltage wiring systems is a plus.
Experience in construction or renovation projects is highly desirable.
Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical problems effectively.
Previous branch circuit maintenance experience is beneficial for this role.
Must possess relevant certifications or licenses as required by local regulations.
