Position Overview

The Journeyperson Electrician at K&L Electric Inc. is responsible for executing electrical installations, service, and maintenance across diverse project types with professionalism and technical expertise. This role demands a high level of skill, independence, and leadership in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to code.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications Supervise and mentor apprentices to promote learning and productivity Coordinate with foremen and project managers to maintain schedules and quality standards Ensure compliance with electrical codes, company policies, and safety procedures Perform testing, commissioning, and documentation of electrical systems Identify and resolve on-site issues efficiently and proactively
Qualifications:

Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certification (Red Seal preferred) Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical construction or service Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and industry best practices Proven ability to lead or mentor apprentices Reliable, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
