Journey Electrician

The ideal candidate will have a background in commercial/industrial construction and have strong troubleshooting skills, team leadership, and the ability to organize small projects.

Responsibilities

Ability to install and test new electrical equipment Operating Electrical Switchgear, Breakers, MCC's and related equipment Inspecting and maintaining electrical equipment and systems Oversee general good housekeeping Lead, guide and train apprentices

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

Must have Ontario Journey Electricians License, ideally 309A Must have experience in a renewable energy environment and/or ICI construction/industrial Experience reading blueprints and laying out electrical systems Must be computer literate and have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Must be able to obtain required security clearance when necessary Must be physically fit Must be a team player, but can work independently Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving abstract Ability to exercise sound judgement and maintain a professional demeanor Ability to work well under pressure, individually and as part of a team Must possess tact and diplomacy Excellent multi-tasking and work load prioritization abilities Outstanding communication skills Safety conscious Attention to detail
