Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, with expertise in both residential and industrial settings. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as the ability to work with various hand tools and power tools. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Troubleshoot electrical issues using logic controllers and low voltage systems. Collaborate with other tradespeople on renovation projects to ensure seamless integration of electrical work. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or necessary repairs. Ensure all work complies with local codes and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or equivalent certification. Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in both residential and industrial settings. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage applications. Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of schematics. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and logic controllers. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team on various projects. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
