We are currently looking to recruit
Journeyperson Carpenter
to join our team for work in Edmonton, AB.Job duties include:
Read plans, blueprints, job orders, and drawings to accurately plan building and repair projects Cut and shape construction materials to precise specifications based on measurements Train apprentices and other employees Perform layouts and math calculations Estimating and selecting materials required to complete a job or task Operating various hand and power tools Underpin and shore structures or excavations Build concrete forms for footings, columns, piers, beams, girders, walls, stairs, and slabs Layout and install concrete reinforcement materials Construct temporary structures including scaffolding, guards, railings, ladders, barricades, covered walkways, hoarding and rigging installations Install interior partitions, ceilings, and millwork
Required Knowledge, Experience, and Skill Set include:
Journeyman Trade Certification and/or equivalent technical diploma Apprentice: Carpentry experience, minimum 3-5 years WHMIS 2015; Fall Protection and CSTS are required Physical stamina Attention to detail
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
