Position: Journeyperson Carpenter - Calgary Soccer Centre
Project Type: Buildings

We are currently recruiting for Journeyperson Carpenters to join the team at the Calgary Soccer Centre project!
Responsibilities:

  • Be able to comprehend blueprint readings and prepare layouts
  • Understand industrial concrete forming, be able to build concrete forms, and other structures
  • Complete rough and finishing carpentry tasks, while utilizing appropriate math skills
  • Checks accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
  • Acts as a work leader and mentor to apprentice carpenters
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Preference will be given to a Journeyperson Carpenter Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
  • Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
  • Experience with concrete formwork required
  • Certification needed, CSTS & WHMIS 2015
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and train apprentices
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
