Peterbilt Manitoba Ltd. is looking for a passionate, detail-oriented, and experienced Body Work Technician to join the Winnipeg Body Shop Department. Reporting to the Body Shop Manager, the Body Shop Technician will provide timely and quality repair, maintenance, and servicing of heavy-duty truck components.

The Role:



Repair and replace various heavy-duty truck components Operate soldering equipment and use plastic filler to repair holes, dents, and seams Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills using wrenches, cutting torch and bolt, or weld replacement parts into place File, grind, and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools Mask and tape truck body surfaces in preparation for painting Repair and replace glass components (windows and windshields) Repair and replace interior components such as seat frame assembly, carpets, and floorboard insulation Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:



Previous Body Work experience is required Level 4 Apprentice or Journeyperson status in Auto Body & Collision required Previous experience working on Heavy-Duty Trucks is considered an asset Able to work as part of a team Demonstrated knowledge and comprehensive understanding of equipment, materials, and repair techniques Exemplary time management skills with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced work environment and produce positive results with diligent respect for deadlines Keen attention to detail and accuracy Ability to lift 50lbs consistently and safely

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $31.15-$38.94 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

8 hour shift Monday to Friday

Journeyperson/Red Seal (preferred)
